Short version: tpdowns.com is a personal editorial blog. It collects the minimum information needed to operate. It does not sell or share personal data.

What is collected

Analytics: tpdowns.com uses Google Analytics 4 (GA4) to understand which articles get read and where visitors come from. GA4 stores an anonymous identifier in your browser. Page URLs, referrer, device type, and country are recorded. Your IP address is anonymised before storage.

Newsletter sign-ups: if you submit your email on the homepage, it is stored at Fastmail (the mail provider) and used only to send tpdowns.com newsletters. You can unsubscribe from any newsletter, which removes your email.

Server logs: Cloudflare records standard request metadata (IP, user-agent, timestamp) for security and rate-limiting. Cloudflare retains this for up to 30 days.

Cookies

tpdowns.com sets a small number of cookies: GA4 analytics cookies (`_ga`, `_ga_*`) and Cloudflare security cookies. Setting your browser to block them does not affect site functionality.

Affiliate links

Some outbound product links are affiliate links. If you click one and buy, tpdowns.com may earn a commission at no extra cost to you. The affiliate networks (Amazon, Impact, CJ Affiliate, etc.) may set their own tracking cookies — see the affiliate disclosure for the full list.

Sharing

Personal information is not sold or shared with third parties beyond what is required to operate the services described above. Aggregated, non-identifying analytics may be referenced in articles or social posts.

Your rights
